Humans & Computers Club is inspired by the Homebrew Computer Club, established in 1975.

Before, the computing landscape was shifting from the industrial mainframe to the personal computer. The Homebrew Computer Club brought together hobbyists to share projects and exchange ideas.

Half a century later, we find ourselves in a moment that rhymes. Artificial intelligence research takes place in labs, yet the technologies that have percolated outward are finding a verdant playground in the work of true hobbyists.

Thus, Humans & Computers Club was born.
